About Us
Occupying two spacious floors of gallery space in a splendid Georgian building in Bath, Gallery LeFort is situated in the unique and vibrant pedestrianised street of Margaret's Buildings, which lies between the world famous Royal Crescent and the Circus. Offering over 900 square feet of exhibition space
The Gallery promotes contemporary fine art and bronze sculptures by some of today's leading British, European and International artists . The artworks and sculptures are sourced solely from the artists studios which in turn can only add provenance and authenticity to the artwork and prove to be a sound investment.
Sculptures are diverse and range from half-life size indoor/outoor bronze art deco figures by such sculptors as the eminent John Huggins, RWA FRBS, to life size equestrian pieces which can be commissioned and cast to order by the sculptor of International repute, Judy Boyt, MA FRBS SEA who has many famous commissions to her credit including the Badminton Mitsubishi Motors Trophy and many, many more.
A programme of at least ten major exhibitions held per annum covers a broad spectrum of art genre, style and mediums ranging from strong figurative to abstract.
We are able to offer advice on starting a contemporary art collection for both private and corporate clients and can undertake picture or sculpture sourcing, either by particular styles or specific artists.
The Gallery offers a payment system for the purchase of artwork which can be arranged over a number of months to assist in buying. Terms can be discussed at time of purchase and the we are pleased to arrange shipment of pictures and sculptures to any part of the world.
The Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00am until 5.00pm, Sundays and Mondays by appointment. Private viewing days and opening times will be advised by invitation prior to each new exhibition via this website.
Gallery LeFort is now part of Bath's vibrant and exclusive Gallery Quarter and the galleries host open evenings for those who enjoy browsing and enjoying a selection of excellent fine art. In addition, in November 2010 there will be the first event of the newly formed Galleries Group, which includes most of the galleries in Bath
We are a mini Cork Street, just somewhat further from the Tube.
