History of Moser
The history of Moser glassworks starts with Ludwig Moser (1833-1916), an innovative and talented engraver who in 1857 established a company bearing his name in the spa town of Karlovy Vary. Thanks to Ludwig Moser, his successors and the generations of Karlovy Vary glassmakers that followed, the Moser manuractory expanded and became a symble in the history of the glassmakers' art. The firm of Moser grew through successive generations, each expressing its visions of the glassmaking art.
Specializing in hand engraved, cut and painted glass, Moser quickly gained an excellent reputation. Moser's quality and the perfection of its hand cutting and engraving techniques, helped to bring the firm success at numerous exhibitions of the applied arts in the 19th and 20th centuries. Moser glass, outstaning in its purity, brilliance, elegance and classical proportions, soon became the proud possession of royalty, heads of state and well-known personalitites throughout the world. To this day, Moser coninues justifiably referred to as the....."Glass of Kings".
For more than 140 years, Moser glassworks have produced luxury drinking and decorative products in classic and modern shapes. The styling is timeless, never bending to trends and transient fashion.
